Grange Girls football team had a fantastic start to the new league with a 3-2 victory against Surrey Square Girls.
Madeline scored two great goals, one a curling free kick around the wall! Cheryl and Deonnah made some fantastic saves as goalies in each half, with Aurora and Nabila working well in defence making good tackles! Isha had her first game in midfield, intercepting important passes and passing balls to our striker.
Our player of the match this week was Ayaat, who worked tirelessly in midfield attacking and defending, being calm under pressure and leading the team by being vocal on the pitch. Her great pressure on a defender earnt us our first goal. Well done everyone!
